We can all admit that our bags, purses, man-purses¿, and briefcases can get extremely messy. Trust me, sometimes I will find receipts from 3 months ago or old candy (I know, GROSS), but it happens. Thankfully for y'all, I cleaned out the unmentionables before committing to do this post, so y'all are all safe.
I've been wanting to do a "what's in my bag" post for quite some time now. To be exact it was going to be one of my JANUARY posts but something always came up or I decided it wasn't a good time to post it. Well now it is (plus I now have my cute KATE SPADE purse so it's actually the PERFECT time)!

I'm just gonna get straight into this and hope you become inspired by my purse must-haves or at least think it's interesting!

1. A Planner
My planner is my life. I can never leave the house without it. This Day Designer planner has everything I need from monthly calendars to daily schedules and to do lists. As many of you know, I get so extremely stressed about all my obligations and tend to get a bit unorganized but since I bought this daily/monthly planner, all of that seems minimal! If you need an extra push to get you through hard classes or multiple clubs/organizations, planners are always the best route to go!

2. Hair Ties
Okay, these are a MUST! When I cut off all my hair these seemed pointless to me. All I had to do was use a clip or bobby pens and my hair was out of my face. Ever since it started growing back, however, and the hot, humid air came into full effect, I started to need these again. I always keep some in my purse because I tend to wear my hair down at the beginning of the day and by the end of it, my hair starts sticking to my neck and I have to put it up. BUT I'm probably going to cut my hair again soon, so who knows, these may be irrelevant.
3. Perfume
Perfume is always a nice touch wherever you are, so having one handy in your purse is super important. I, myself, am a one scent kind of gal. Even though I own many scents of Bath and Body Works body spray, when it comes to good quality perfume, I'm all about the BURBERRY Brit for Women Eau de Parfum. I even wrote about it in my February Favorites post. It smells amazing and is a definite necessity.

4. Emergen-C
As most of y'all may know, I get sick extremely easily. It's been getting better over the years, but once my throat starts hurting it's officially game over. I feel as if I am about to die. Once that scratchy feeling in my throat begins I immediately pour an Emergen-C into a bottle of water and the next day I feel 10x better! Since they come in individual packages, they are easy to carry around and don't take up a lot of room.

5. Lipstick
If you're not a big lipstick fan, this probably doesn't appeal to you, but if you're like me who loves lipstick then having it at all times is essential. Now I understand that not everyone wears lipsticks on a daily basis (I'm one of those people) so this doesn't ALWAYS have to be in your bag. I switch out my lipsticks and shades to match what I'm wearing but pictured below I have two shades of Rimmel London Lasting Finish Lip By Kate Moss Matte Collection (one is a red shade, 107, and the other is a nude shade, 32).
6. Headphones
This one is self explainatory. Sometimes you just want to listen to music and not bother anyone around you so you stick some headphones in and jam out! I actually couldn't find my headphones recently when I was in my room but they ended up being in the pocket of my purse LOL. They're super handy and a must have for music lovers.

7. Vlogging Camera
Okay so by now, y'all should've caught on with the fact that I vlog on YouTube and not like sit-down let me review products type of vlog (that's what I do here) more like "here is me in my weird life and watch me play with my dog" type vlogger. Carrying around my vlogging camera is VITAL. I never know when something pops up and I need to flim it. Having it in easy reach is a huge priority for me. You can check out my entire blog post about this AMAZING vlogging camera here.

8. Lotion/Hand Cream
I love lotion. Even when I don't need it, I still use it. It's amazing. The one that is currently in my purse is the Zoella Beauty Wonder Hand Moisturising Hand Cream. I seriously love this stuff. It easily fits in the pocket inside my purse and smells amazing. Keeping lotion or hand cream with you at all times prevents from embarrassing ashiness and provides a quick fix. Definitely something everyone needs!
9. Sunglasses
I recently talked about the importance of sunglasses in my Summer Essentials blog post, but I didn't actually have a pair of my own. Now I finally do and I carry them with me at all times! I got this cute cat eye pair from Target for a very reasonable price and I'm seriously in love. I think sunglasses are so important especially during these hotter months when the sun shines brighter and days are longer.

10. Lipbalm
And last but not least, lipbalm. This is my number one priority no matter where I go. I have multiple brands of lipbalm in my purse including my go-to, Burt's Bees 100% Natural Lip Balm. This stuff has saved me on multiple occasions because I'm weird and get chapped lips when it's hot and cold and mild and summer and winter and pretty much every day of the year. This is a product everyone needs!
Well there you go! I hope you enjoyed this "what's in my bag" post. Let me know what some of y'alls MUST HAVE purse items in the comments and hopefully I can get some inspiration as well!

Also, my summer classes are over so I am now in blogging mode FULL FORCE! For some reason blogging is so much easier during the fall and spring semesters even though I have more classes and more responsibility with the newspaper. I know it's weird! I have some awesome posts planned so be on the look out for that!

  1. Great post! I love seeing what people carry around with them, maybe i'm just nosey haha! That planner looks so cute. I've been looking at he new ones from rifle paper co. I'm so much more productive when I have things written down! x

  4. I'm interested in the Day Designer but it looks a bit bulky for me. I've tried their sample planning sheets, though, and liked it a lot. Thanks for the camera info! I've been thinking of getting a nicer point-and-shoot instead of a large DSLR.

  5. Emergency is a smart thing to have! I always end up with like 5-10 lipsticks in my bag by the end of the month, haha. I also carry a mini cellphone battery charger thing, in case my phone dies while I'm traveling!
