LOOKBOOK: DREAMING OF DENIM

Friday, March 25, 2016

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to share this post with y'all!

For such a long time, I have wanted to branch out and do my own lookbook. If you don't know what a lookbook is, you can watch this Christmas lookbook here made by my favorite blogger/youtuber, Zoella, or you can read one here written as a guest post on Earth to Kace by Abbey from The Fab Rehab!

I have finally mustered up the courage have pictures taken of myself and do one! And why not start it off revolving around one of the biggest trends for spring... DENIM!

No. 1

This look is perfect for a casual spring day. It's one of those outfits when you're too lazy to put on pants, still want to look cute, but also want to be extremely comfortable. Pairing a simple t-shirt dress with a stylish denim jacket (just in case it gets cold) and a cute pair of keds is such a gorgeous way to NOT live the phrase "beauty is pain". A definite must have for a day at the park or a quaint lunch date!

Denim Jacket: Kut for the Kloth
T-shirt Dress: Julian Gold
Keds: Playless

If you want to dress up a casual outfit just a little more, a denim skirt is the perfect fit. I can't tell you how excited I was when I discovered these bad boys were back in style. They're so comfy plus add a girly side to any outfit. I paired this denim piece with a simple tshirt and adorable cognac strappy flats. These flats are AMAZING! They are so unique and can add personality to the simplest of looks. I mean, who doesn't love simple girly outfits?

T-shirt: Old Navy
Denim Skirt: Forever 21
Lace-up Flats: Forever 21

This look is the most "dressy" out of the three, but still extremely simple. (I hope you guys are catching on that I LOVE simple clothes. Probably because I'm a poor college student LOL) Dark wash denim pants are a MUST HAVE for the spring. They go so well with bright colored blouses. I tucked in this top in the front to add an asymmetrical effect and paired this outfit with elegant pointed toe heels. Perfect for night out!

Blouse: Penelope
Dark Wash Denim Pants: Parker Smith
Heels: Breckelle's

I hope you enjoyed this demin-filled lookbook! Also, please take into consideration that this is my first lookbook and I am in no way a model, so no judging! Let me know what other trends you would like to see in future blog posts!

  3. Super cute. I love it! I've been wanting to get a jean jacket for the longest time. I met with friend (who always has the perfect outfit on) last night and she had a cute dress on with a jean jacket. I guess it's my sign to get one :)
