BLOGTOBER DAY 7: FALL FAVORITES

Saturday, October 17, 2015

Fall is the time for pumpkin spice and everything nice. No one will judge you when you buy 5 candles that pretty much smell the same but they're "actually completely different" or when you binge watch Halloween movies while eating so much candy you just know you're going to get cavities. During this time of the year, all of that is normal. So, I decided to put together a Fall Favorites list of everything you just NEED to get through the season.

1. Lush Halloween Products- As y'all know from my a previous blog post, I have just recently started to use Lush Cosmetic products. So it was no surprise when I just HAD to order their Halloween product line! There was so much to choose from but I opted for the "Nightwing" shower jelly and "Lord of Misrule" bath bomb. They both smell amazing and will allow me to relax all while keeping up with the Halloween spirit. Check out Lush's Halloween collection here.

2. Hot Drinks- Even though Texas usually doesn't get cold, hot drinks are always a must have during this time of the year. For all of us "Fall Lovers", we like to pretend its cold outside by turning down the air conditioning and snuggling up with a fleece blanket and hot drink in hand. The one pictured above is, of course, the Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks but I also enjoy hot tea, hot chocolate, and many other hot festive drinks from coffee shops.

3. Lighter Foundation- Every girl needs a lighter shade of foundation when the season starts to change. Our beloved tans begin to fade and we finally realize how horribly pale we are, so why not get an amazing foundation in the lighter shade that you need? I recently bought the Too Faced Born This Way Foundation in the shade "vanilla" and I absolutely love it! It matches my skin tone perfectly and I don't need to use a lot of it for great coverage making it long lasting! It's definitely a must have!

4. Candy, Candy, and More Candy- Halloween is the only time of the year when you can ask others for candy and not get weird looks for it! So throughout this time of the year its no surprise that you'll catch me stuffing my face with the sweetest of treats (especially candy corn)! Fall is the one time of the year when you can eat whatever you want and feel no remorse and that's definitely alright with me!

5. Fall Scented Candles- Fall scented candles are the best way to get into the fall mood. All the different scents give off a cozy feel to any night in. My three favorite scents this fall are all from Bath and Body Works. They include LeavesFlannel, and Sweater Weather. They come in all sizes and they smell AMAZING! The Fall Collection at Bath and Body Works has a huge range of fall flavored scents that are perfect for this time of year!

6. Warm, Comfy Socks- Comfy Socks are the #1 necessity for the season. The Bath and Body Works fleece socks infused with shea butter are amazing, but my absolute favorite socks to wear this time of the year are halloween socks. Most of them aren't the most comfortable but they add to the Halloween spirit! I wear them around no matter where I am and makes this month even more fun!

7. Bath and Body Works Fall Products- Just like the candles, Bath and Body Works' fall scents come in other products like lotion, body wash, body spray, etc. My favorite scent to wear is Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin, which is the perfect blend of cinnamon and pumpkin. I bought the body lotion, body scrub, and spray and I wear it almost every day.

8. Darker Lipstick- Although I don't wear lipstick that often, when I do, I wear the seasonal colors. In the fall, darker shades are in style which is amazing because I feel like they can compliment any skin tone. My favorite shade right now is the Rimmel London Kate Moss 107. It's such a beautiful shade of red that lasts forever with no running!

9. A Nice Read- Fall nights aren't complete without a good book to read. The best way to appreciate where you are is by reading about fictional stories. The books I'm really interested in right now is Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children and the sequel, Hollow City. I really like these books during this time of year because they include creepy photographs that have been taken in the past and create a story around them. It's a scary, weird, fascinating, and breathtaking book that will be hard to put down!

Let me know what your fall favorites are!
