SOUTH AFRICA: KLOOF GORGE

Thursday, July 23, 2015

One of the many magnificent places I have been to so far on this journey is the Kloof Gorge and, luckily enough, it's pretty much in the backyard. The gorge sits 2,000 ft above sea level mostly covered in dense vegetation all while rapids of the Molweni river race through the bottom.

Kloof Gorge is filled with breathtaking views and wild life, allowing all who wander within it's depths to have an experience of a lifetime. The area is very family friendly completed with areas for picnics on the view points and an interactive app providing information on the animals and vegetation one might see while there. In my opinion, this is the perfect way to combine nature and technology, sparking the interests of the younger generations.

I have already gone a few times to this beautiful site and I plan on going back plenty more before my trip is over. It's the perfect place to wind down from a busy day and enjoy nature in its enriching influence. If anyone has the opportunity to travel to South Africa, the Kloof Gorge is a must see.
