A break from reality is what most of us need from time to time and that's exactly what I got. A week off from classes (fully knowing I would be slammed with homework once I got back), visiting with old friends, and two trips with my loved ones is what my "mini vacation" consisted of. And let me tell you, that's exactly what I needed.

Coming back to a dearly missed hometown is probably the best refresher any college girl needs after months of no money, fast food, and dirty clothes. With a little love and a lot of home cooked meals, the sorrows and stress of school simply seem to vanish.

As I watch my worries pass through my rear view mirror, I head towards the first stop of my trip: Downtown San Antonio.

As Gossip Girl once said,
"Thanksgiving began when Pilgrims and Indians
came together to share the bountiful harvest. On the Upper
East side, that tradition is upheld with a bountiful harvest
of secrets, lies, and scandals."

Unfortunately, we're not all filthy rich and unbelievably attractive, but you can never go wrong with a Gossip Girl quote.

In reality, Thanksgiving is a time where family and friends can come together in remembrance of all that they're thankful for. It's a time to truly feel the undeniable love and support of those who surround you. And it's most definitely a time to stuff your face with the best food imaginable.

Okay, if you know anything about me, you'd know that makeup
is my guilty pleasure. Actually, I can't even consider it that because I don't
feel guilty at all once I buy it. You could say...

My most recent trip to the mall was actually one intended for Grimaldi's pizza only. Well, of course, little ole me had to go to Ulta (just to look) and came out with this adorable piece from Too Faced's new Christmas Collection. Of course the pink glitter packaging caught my eye!

Follow my blog with Bloglovin

Making a blog can be extremely nerve wrecking. Not knowing what to say exactly
and wondering who will read it (if anybody), seems to always pop up in the back of your mind and that's terrifying.
The constant anxiety of criticism fills your body,
paralyzing you. What if your favorite blogger comes across your post
and they can't even read another word due to their disgust? What if you're not even
a good blogger? What if... what if... what if?
